Public Art Intallation & Performance
2008 Dumbo Arts Festival, Brooklyn, NYC
As a partner to Eve Mosher's Highline Project, GuilTees is an installation project which demands audience participation to curb climate change impacts. Passers-by commit to being "NYC Cool" -or climate-conscious -and are asked to make a "NYC Cool List" on the back of a repurposed, silk-screened shirt or jacket. Each time the participant wears the shirt, it is meant to serve as a small "GuilTee" reminder to follow-up with climate change promises made. In addition to this, the artist personally followed-up with all participants (approximately 50 in one-and-a-half hours!) to provide further resources for curbing climate change in NYC.
