Since 2001, Tara's teaching has included developing and leading hundreds of global, educational experiences, from workshops to graduate courses, all using creativity and experiential learning as central tools. As adjunct faculty at Webster University in the Netherlands and has developed and taught courses at the New School, Syracuse University, and Columbia University. She has also served as a global representative of The Climate Reality Project since 2006, presenting to thousands of people about climate change.
In 2011, Tara founded the Human Impacts Institute, a think-and-do tank tranforming the art and science of inspiring positive impacts through creative communication, hands-on education, and curated actions. She has consulted with groups as diverse as the Transatlantic Climate Bridge Program of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kiehls.
Tara has been featured in radio, films, and on television--including NPR, Pacifica Radio, BagIt the movie, and 24 Hours of Climate Reality--and has been a guest speaker at locaitons such as the United Nations, Citigroup's NYC headquarters, and numerous universities. Her writing has been featured in publications from Alternet to National Geographic.
