Continual (Re)Growth is a performance that takes the audience through the chaos of life, death and a metaphorical rebirth. Through an exploration of movement and sound, the piece plays with ideas of unsustainable consumption, anger, frustration and resurrection of will and life. Continual (Re)Growth reminds us that nature has the power of balancing between reproduction and destruction of our lives, while humans too have the power of our own destinies--to either create or destroy. Ultimately, the piece aims to challenge viewers to connect with our dependence on nature and the impacts we have on it and our own lives.
In collaboration with Jacqueline Hall (dance) and Minoru Sakakura (music)
